Everybody Loves Oil Money: Former FIFA VP Jack Warner Allegedly Collected Bribe To Help Qatar Get World Cup

Former FIFA vice-president Jack Warner has been implicated in a bribery scheme alleging he and his sons were paid almost £1.2million to help Qatar secure the hosting rights for the 2022 World Cup.
Warner allegedly received £720,000 from a Mohamed Bin Hammam, ex-Qatari FA member, and his sons, Daryll and Daryan, also received sums of up to £450,000.
Mr Warner was one of 22 people who decided to award the World Cup finals to Qatar.
These allegations were revealed in documents obtained by the Daily Telegraph.
According to the documents, Warner had reportedly asked for the money from Bin Hammam, being charges for “legal and other expenses”, and  for “professional services provided over the period 2005-2010.”
