According to Sahara Reporters, Minister of Interior Abba Moro has on Thursday offered a N500,000 reward to those journalists who would work to whitewash his image.
Minister Moro is blamed by many Nigerians for a tragic outcome of a recruitment exercise conducted by the Nigeria Immigrations Service across the country, when dozens of people died in the ensuing stampede and others were injured.
The multiple accidents prompted calls for the sack of the Minister, while he blamed the deaths and injuries on the impatience of the applicants. Among those who demanded his sack are Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
